Trygg was X-rayed under the Joint KC/BVA Hip Dysplasia Scheme. His score was 12(8:4). Trygg was eye-tested under the Joint KC/BVA Eye Scheme in March 2003, and was found to be unaffected. Trygg represents the fourth generation from our foundation bitch, Taroscken Tina. We have so far found this line to be fit and healthy throughout their lives.
Trygg's breeding was an interesting combination of Scottish, Scandinavian and American bloodlines. | |
Like all our dogs, Trygg benefited from strenuous daily walks in the countryside, resulting in impressive musculature and exceptional movement. Trygg was also especially noted for his clear coat colour and excellent tailset. Trygg was as delightful a personality to live with as he was to look at. He was Stuart's special dog, and spent his life shadowing his every move. He was also a devoted friend to the rest of the family, especially the children, and was also very attached to his canine companion, Dordi, who predeceased him. He is very much missed by us all. Trygg's essentially gentle nature didn't prevent him from being all male! |

Trygg's party trick was to bring teatowels from the kitchen to visitors to the house! No visit was complete without Trygg presenting you with a towel, rope-toy, pair of tights etc. Despite his size (just under 21 inches),Trygg he was the most agile of dogs, easily jumping fences several feet high! Although normally as brave and fearless as any elkhound male should be, Trygg had one guilty secret - he was afraid of water!! |
