Jennifer Nashif |
I am the founder of Catholic Cyber Moms, nice to meet you all! My husband, Pete, and I have been married for 6.5 years and have two children (for now), Andrew Michael, who is 3.5 and Mary Caroline, who is 12 months old. I converted to Catholicism in 1995 and am so very glad that I did! Currently, I volunteer as a counselor at a Crisis Pregnancy Center and in the fall I will start homeschooling my son. There have been so many changes in my life since coming to the faith, and I am so thankful to God's grace for all of them. On June 20th, 1998, the Memorial for the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I consecrated myself to Mary's Immaculate Heart and joined the Militia Immaculata. The beautiful coincidence is that that day was my daughter, *Mary's* first birthday! I hope that you all enjoy your time spent with Catholic Cyber Moms. Please let me know if there is anything that this group can do for you. |

I'm a Mum in her forties who has raised her two children (Kira & Gregory) alone for the last 11 years. I am not the most healthy of Mums, since I suffer from Diabetes and Hyperaldosterionism. We are probably one of the most financially poor families on the internet, but we are rich in our closeness as a family, and in our Catholic practice. My eldest child has her degree in Archeology and History, and will be leaving home next spring to begin journeying with the Sisters of Mercy in Dublin Ireland. My son, who is 15, is a seminarian at The Seminary of Christ the King in Mission, BC, Canada. He is in his third year there, and is doing very well. He expects to continue there and find his vocation as a Diocesan Priest. Please remember them in your prayers. Here in Canada, there seems to be very little support for those following vocations, and for helping parents cope with the sacrifices that their children are making. I realize that not many parents these days have to deal with these concerns, but if anyone would like to write me with a bit of encouragement or the offer of prayers, I would be so grateful. Favorite saints are: St. Theresa of Avila and St John of the Cross,- St. Francis and St. Clare, |
