Through our life
They come and go
Many we come to know
Some are called friends
Few hold our hands
Close friends
Keep each other near to heart,
In both good times and bad.
Best friends
Offer a shoulder to lean on
Whenever we feel sad.
Real friends
Overcome each other’s weakness,
Rejoice in each other’s strength.
Good friends
Can’t be divided by distance,
Nor space, nor time nor length.
True friends
Believe in each other,
No matter what people say.
Great friends
Laugh and cry together,
Earnestly for each other pray.
Through our life
They come and go
Many we may never know.
How many are friends?
How many are true?
One of them is you:
A heaven-sent loan,
Much cherished and treasured,
Precious gem among the stones.
Through our life
They come and go
How do we really know
A true friend
A rare gem
One who holds your hand
In good times and bad
Never letting go |
