Anne Perrot arrived in Canada on a ship filled with women known as "Fille du Roi" which means "Daughters of the King." This was the title given to women immigrants between the years of 1663 - 1673, who agreed to travel across the ocean to new France to marry a settler in exchange for a dowry from the French King. Research shows Anne's dowry was 300 pounds.
