And now, ANNOUNCING...
The Baptism of
Master Parker John Callahan
The First Page
And,
here we are, getting ready for Parker to be baptized. My father,
Jack, is holding his grandson with pride. Note the outfit Parker
is wearing - he doesn't look too bad. Note the tie my Dad is wearing
- it is not full of stripes as usual but has Looney Toons characters on
it. What a change?!
These are Tamara's parents, Tom and Carol. They came all the way from Arizona
to visit and participate in the worship service. Tom read the Baptismal
questions to us, the parents, and Carol helped in the photography department
(I guess you would call her the Historian). This is a better look
at Parker's dapper outfit.
Four of us performed a musical piece
called "Wings of the Dawn", prior to Parker's baptism.
The aforementioned Tom is standing right, and my Mom, Betsy (that is her
official name now. It used to be "Elizabeth", but she decided to
visit to Courthouse in Pittsburgh make her name an official "Betsy".
I don't know why I just typed all of this - I'm surprised you actually
took time to read it. I now digress...) Tamara is behind the
ebony and ivory, tickling the keys with her magic fingers!
And, just to prove there were four of
us singing, you will see me on the right, and this time Tamara is singing.
The woman sitting down is Debbie, our choir director. She didn't
sing, of course (or, we would have been a quintet, and I would be lying
when I wrote four of us sung); she helped turn pages for Tamara.
