Parker Pictures, Old and New

Starring our little Diaper Dan, Parker John Callahan!!!

Continuing with Page Three....

Parker likes the water, too.  He has his own Rubber Ducky, he has a few sponges in the shapes of stars and elephants, and he has those things on his tub seat to play with.  His hair looks better in this picture than it does after a good night's sleep (talk about bed-head!).  Here, Parker is bathing with his Daddy (he's to the right of this picture, and is not viewed here because, well, pictures of one's birthday suit are prohibited at this site).  It is neat how Tamara caught some water drops flying in the air, as he (actually, they) splashed about.  Folk received cards from us, announcing Parker's Baptism on October 11, and we used this picture on those invitations.

And, when Parker is done in the water, he dries off under a nice, warm towel.  We also used this picture on those Baptism invitations.  (Now, is it just me or doesn't he look like a certain Fatman who sits near temples in Japan, sans the towel, of course?  Down to the smile and belly, right?!  Nonetheless, please don't put any incense in his bellybutton.)

And, here is Parker, the great mountain climber of Saxonburg, PA, attempting to scale the rugged peaks of Mansestairs to Secondfloor.  Parker is accompanied by his Mom to make sure his climb is safe.

After reaching the top, Parker hopes to travel to Africa and climb the twin peaks of Kilimanjaro (how'd that Monty Python reference get in there?!?!?).

Parker's second climb of the mountain Mansestairs to Secondfloor was caught on film by his Father, who braved the climb beforehand.  See the intensity on Parker's face as he negotiates the terrain.  Look how he finds a crack between the steps and skillfully places his hands and feet within for support.  What an awesome climb!

In all seriousness, though, when we found he could climb stairs, we were both overjoyed and somewhat dismayed.  A pastor-friend told me that once in a child's life, he or she will learn to climb the steps and learn how to fall down them.  I like the climbing part - we are afraid of the falling part.  Maybe we should buy climbing gear for him?
