We had a little photo shoot with our friends, Kate and Cedar, on a pretty May afternoon.

Dante is VERY social! |
These two are turning out to be
good buddies,
although Cedar sees Dante more
as a pesky little brother, I think.
Uh-oh... Bath Day!
After a nice 3 week vacation in
June, which was spent mostly out in his grassy paddock,
Dante was in serious need of a
bath.
Look how well he cleaned up!
His dapples are showing up more
all the time.
I am excited because he is staying
so rosy (although these photos are a bit red).
And yes, I am aware that his legs
are cut out of the lefthand picture...
but I needed a shot of his other
side!
A Field Trip!
In July, we took a day trip to
Camas
Meadows, which is a conveniently located (just up the road a few miles)
eventing facility with a beautifully
maintained low to intermediate level cross-country course and
3 multi-purpose outdoor sand arenas.
This was Dante's first experience
with cross-country fences.
He handled it incredibly well,
with no big scenes or stops at all...
he jumped whatever we set him
to, including an open ditch, all different types of logs and coops,
and the water jump- he went through,
jumped into, and jumped out of the water! (and loved it!)
I am hoping to add a photo or
two of us jumping, but for now I have just a couple of shots from that
day.
Thank you to Melody Jowell for
the photos!
Posing with Kate and Cedar in front of Mount Rainier, that white hump on the horizon that looks like a cloud! I don't know why it doesn't show up more in the photo. |
The Camas schooling day turned into a family event- those are my parents on the left! |
Back home and wrapped up after
a hard day's work!
Summer Fun
Creekside Sport Farm is blessed with a year-round stream running through the center of the property! Although the water level is lower in July and August, during the summer the creek is the place to be on a hot, sunny day! |
Dante enjoying a face rub from his friend Sandy, who came all the way from California to visit! |
