Still more of these wonderful horses from my past.
Scandal is a filly I bred - foaled October 1997. She was a lovely filly, in nature and looks. I still am
not sure how I feel about the events with Scandal. She is dual registered ASH and part Arabian.
She was sold at 2 months old and 3 days prior to delivery as weanling she had an horrific accident
resulting in massive leg injuries and temporary blindness in one eye. Against my "gut feeling" we did
not destroy her but perservered through weeks of bandaging and treatment - she healed well physically but not mentally.
We tried all that we could - all that we knew to break through the distrust and problems that she had but in the
end I felt I could do no more. I have given her to a friend of mine - who's experience in horses is greater than mine
and I hope that he may be able to make more progress. Only time will tell....
Christina is a lovely little filly from my Australian Stock Horse/ Thoroughbred mare
"Galway Flyer" by the Australian Pony stallion "Christian" owned by Arelen Meursing. She is very pretty
and was sold to a couple near Berwick.
Waverleigh Odette was probably my favourite of all my past horses. If I am allowed to have one! She was quick of reflex and mind - aloof but willing.
She came to me from a Stock Horse Sale at Warragul.
She is the mother of "Sparrow"

and gave me years of fun - and frustration! She had an abused childhood and this was constantly
to rear its ugly head over the years. But the fun far outweighed the problems. We drafted and trailrode, drove cattle and one day evented, showed and
just shared time.
Odie (as I called her) was saved from the Ash Wednesday Fires in Victoria by Christine Hartigan who showed her as a Riding Pony. She
Won and placed with extreme regularity before leaving Christine. I never showed her as a Riding Pony although Sparrow is also registered.
