A Tribute to my Mother-In-Law

Maxine Ann Murphy

May 27,1936 - February 16, 1996

Maxine, better known to those close to her as "Maxi," lived her life with a zest, laughed harder than anyone i've ever known, was always generous with hugs & kisses for her family, and was passionate in everything she had done. A one-of-a-kind Mother-In-Law! Her fight with breast cancer ended on February 16, 1996 at the age of 59. It ended her physical pain, but robbed us of a unique Woman, Mother and Grandmother!!! She was the last of our parent's. Because I had my breast cancer surgery in a hospital here in Vermont on the day that she passed on in a hospital in New York, I never had the chance to tell her goodbye and that I loved her one last time. And if we can do such extraordinary things such as travel the world across the World Wide Web, then I believe she can see this. :-) and is probably still laughing out loud, harder than anyone I've ever known. Fighting breast cancer along side of her, gave me strength. Even after her death I knew that she wanted me to keep fighting and to stay as strong as I could, after all, her grandson's couldn't handle losing two of the most important women in their lives. So Mom, let me tell you that "We love & miss you very much"
