famous for mineral water,ect. It is located close to
the W.Va. border.

Hugh Patterson was born in Monogahela,Pa.
(Moon City). He was listed at 13 years old in the 1850
census of Union Twp.,Washington Co.Pa. as living with
a John & Jane Crites. He inlisted with the Pa. Vollunteer,
140th Regiment, Co.E. He died in a Washington D.C. hospital
of dysentery after fighting in several battles including
Gettysburg. Hugh is buried in the Military Asylum in
Washington,D.C.



Elizabeth Figley was born in Brooke Co.,W.Va.
After the death of Hugh she remarried David Williamson
(1812-1909) on Sept. 20, 1866. She had four more children
to Mr. Williamson: David,Hanna,Ester,and James. She also
had one child before her marriage to Hugh :
