I am looking for any information on this family.
The last two children I have no information on.
NOTE: Have just received the files from the Civil War archives. James R. is actually James K.
He served in the Civil War from 1863 to 1865. He was wounded in the head
and did not return home. Nancy was notified that he was dead
and went on to marry a John Hebron.
In 1988 Nancy applied for widows pension for her two
children(using the name of Nancy Hebron) by James K.
and was told that he was still alive.
With is information I am saying that John and Annie are not Thayers,
but Hebrons. Her dead certificates list them and
others as Staffords including in that Thomas Stafford and
two other daughters, Mrs. Mary Gossett of Wellsburg, W.Va.
and Mrs. Margaret Wade of Jamestown, Pa.
She died in her home on Fouth Street in Steubenville Ohio, on Tuesday
Nov.15, 1904 at 7:20
Email me if you know of any more information on my ggrandparents
or the two last children.
