Jack Coleman worked for the Norfolk & Western Railroad. At family reunions, he usually offered the blessing. James Franklin JOLLETT (Nov 1836 - 3 Jun 1930) & Eliza COLEMAN (Jan. 17, 1856 - Dec. 9, 1938, d/o Diannah SHIFLET and William T. COLEMAN) m. Aug. 29, 1885 Greene County, VA
Our cousin Vessie Jollett Steppe remembers her grandfather as a loving man who enjoyed his grandchildren. He often held several on his lap at one time. He looked forward to their visits and to all their childhood games and pranks. He found their antics amusing even when Eliza didn't agree. Eliza was a good grandmother to her step-grandchildren, but not affectionate like Grandpap. Grandpap would cry with joy when company came and cry when they left. Both are buried in the Harriston United Methodist Church cemetery in Harriston, Augusta County, VA.

2. James Henry JOLLETT (b. Apr. 1894, Greene County, VA - d. 1909 Augusta County, VA)
He drowned. On the day he died, he and his father were on the way to the train station to meet Eliza who was returning home after being away visiting family. Some of Henry's friends stopped him and invited him to go swimming with them. His father said he shouldn't go since Eliza would be expecting them. Henry promised to be back in time to meet the train. Unfortunately while swimming, he got caught in a current and his friends could not rescue him. He is buried in the Harriston United Methodist Church cemetery in Augusta County, VA.
