Fudge Cake
1/2 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup chopped nuts
4 tbsp. cocoa
4 tbsp. milk
Mix in ofer give. Bake 30 minutes in 350F oven. Ice with chocolate
icing.
Fluffy White Cake
2 cups sifted cake flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 cups shortening
7/8 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almont extract
2-4 eggs, unbeaten
Mix in order given.
Crumb Cake
2 cups flour
3/4 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 cup sour milk
1/2 cup baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup raisins
1 cup currants
Rub together the first 3 ingredients. Take out 1 cup for topping.
Add remaining ingredients. Pour mixture into well greased shallow
pan, cover with crumbs (1/2 cup from above). Bake at 375F for 25 minutes.
Cheerio Cake
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup corn syrup
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
6-8 cups Cheerios
Boil margarine, corn syrup and sugar together for 1 minute (good
boil). Add peanut butter, vanilla and Cheerios. Press into a 9x13 inch
pan.
