I first read this book during my
Jr. year in high school (I used
it as research for my term paper),
and later again during my college years. It never
ceases to amaze me! It's one thing to
read HIS-tory about the U.S. enslavement

level of enlightenment when you read about slavery
from the someone who actually lived it! This book
