Dear Alice:
Your letter of yesterday is just received, and I am very sorry to hear you are feeling so badly. I don't know what I can say more than that you must use your own judgement. If you feel you cannot study of course there is no use in staying there. If you decide to come home ask for a leave of absence, so that you can go back another year if you want to.
I'll not stop to write much now as I wrote you a pretty long letter yesterday. E. J. and I are going out in the buggy and I will take this to the office.
Ben went away on business this morning to be gone till tomorrow night.
In haste from your mother
E. M. Watrous
