Dear Alice

I will write once more and send you an express order for $15. as Emma J. thinks she cannot go down this week. I was over yesterday afternoon and she was in bed.

Yesterday was the warmest day we have had yet: the mercury rising to 89 deg in our sitting room, and in some places over 90. To day it is very much cooler.

Aunt and Belle DeGuire walked out to Mr Hardings this morning, and Frank is going after them this afternoon. She and her husband are living in town now and boarding at Susie's.

Frank and Ed Payton have been blackberrying several times, and sold more than three dollars worth apiece. I have not put up any fruit yet and don't know whether I shall or not. I certainly shall not till you get home and I can have a little help. I suppose you will feel just like doing house work now.

I have nothing in particular to write about and as you are coming so soon I will not stop to think of any more. Be sure to sign your name Alice M. as it is on this order or you cannot get the money.

From your mother

E. M. Watrous.
