Growing Your Own Herbs:

HI! I'm still building this page, so please come back soon and check it out!

Herbs come in all shapes and sizes, from bulbs and perrenials to shrubs and woody trees. Most are scented and all offer something useful in any number of applications from culinary, medicinal, cosmetics, crafts and pest control.
Herbs are often grown by themselves in special gardens, I have beds dedicated only to herbs in my garden, however I also grow them in my vegetable garden as
companions to help my veggies thrive. I grow them in pots on the back verandah, in my kitchen and I even plant them in the flower beds to help keep pests at bay and aid the growth of certain plants.
Growing herbs is a great introduction to gardening. They are hardy, can withstand a certain degree of punishment and they give back to you. They are great for people who have minimal space for a garden (see container gardens.)
There are so many herbs to choose from and I have included here a list of herbs and a little bit of information about them, but it really is barely scratching the surface!
