CHUCK AND DAWN AND KATIE MAKES THREE

The following is a family vacation secret known only between certain folks. Who out there knows the answer to this? Chuck and Dawn, this needs your attention.
"What do you get when you cross a video camera eyepiece with an outhouse?"

The author of this page has an idea.
Answer: Now this outhouse has an opening deliberately designed with a purpose in mind, but not to drop a camera eyepiece in. Out of that opening comes a very offensive aroma. Now we need to ask Chuck and Dawn for the rest of the story.

Since Katie doesn't talk to Grandma and Grandpa on the phone her mom and dad interviewed her and got the following answers:

Her favorite dog: We know the answer to this one: "KELSIE"
Kelsie is an Akita who watches over Katie.
Favorite food: "CORN ON THE COB"
Favorite drink: "APPLE JUICE"
Favorite pastime: "CLIMBING THINGS"
Favorite friend: "JEREMY AND JONAH"
Favorite cousin: "KAYLA"
Dislikes: "SOUR JUICE"
Funnest thing I've ever done: "SWINGING ON THE SWING"

Grandma and Grandpa only see Katie once or twice a year and when we saw her at Thanksgiving, she still doesn't talk too much. But that will change as the years go by.

Guess Who Came to Dinner?

Chuck, Dawn, and Kaitlyn came by Amtrak all the way from Troy to spend the Thanksgiving weekend with us. They arrived early Thanksgiving morning. They were a bit surprised when Geri met them at the Gainesville station. It seems during the night Grandpa George took sick with a virus. Spent the whole day in bed. Katie was beginning to wonder if there was a "Grandpa George" He never came out of the bedroom that day. The rest of us had a Thanksgiving dinner (a bit late). It seems the turkey just wouldn't get done.At last we all ate

We must mention the other "special" guest" FLAT BECCA from Montana. She arrived at the Coon household in Troy in a 8 1/2 by 11 envelope. She was very well behaved just like cousin Katie.

THE STORY OF FLAT BECCA

The momentus event of Thanksgiving was when the switch illuminated the "lighting of the Coon Christmas lights". If all the parks can have them, Geri decided we could do as well and in my opinion, better. Friday evening a trip by all (with the exception of Grandpa George, still feeling poorly, went to Stone Mountain to see all the Christmas lights. We sat on the lawn in front of the carvings and watched the laser show and fireworks.

Friday morning Geri chaperoned Chuck, Dawn and Katie to downtown Atlanta. They rode Marta, shopped, visited CNN Center, stopped at Ted Turners's store, where Katie had her picture taken and visited Olympic Park and played in the fountains. The weather was unusually warm.

Katie also entertained us with a charming dance routine.

Saturday was another shopping day but this time to Cleveland,Georgia and the home of Babyland General. That's where all the Cabbage Patch Kids are born. Then on to Helen Georgia.

Sunday morning Geri took Chuck, Dawn, and Katie to International Pancake House for breakfast. By this time, Grandma Jean didn't feel too well. Seems she caught the bug. Sunday afternoon Chuck, Dawn, and Katie visited the Lawrenceville YMCA,their purpose to exercise in the big, warm pool. Then came time for departure. Our visit with Chuck, Dawn and Katie was too short and now they had to return home. They departed Sunday evening from Gainesville and were on their way back to Troy,. "To much to do, so little time."

By the way Flat Becca was quite impressed with all this family gathering.

Chuck caught Katie, Kelsie and Flat Becca discussing the trip to visit Grandpa and Grandma. Seems Kelsie wanted to know where her piece of turkey was.Kelsie was also interested as to how Flat Becca felt about traveling in an envelope, perhaps she could travel like this next time.

I bet all the boys will be calling the Coon residence shortly!
