HENRY WILLIAMS was born in 1825 in Hamilton, Co., Ohio. He died in 1904. He married Leah Stanbrough. Leah Stanbrough was born in 1826 in Clinton Co., Ohio. Her father was William Stanbrough (1800-1842) and her mother was Rachel Pike (1802-1842). William Stanbrough's mother was born in North Carolina about 1769. Her family were Quakers. They moved from Ohio when Leah was eight years old. William and Rachel had 7 children--six girls and one boy. William and Rachel and their only son, Samuel, died in 1842 of Winter Fever (Typhoid) leaving the six girls orphaned, the youngest girl only three months old. (Only have data on their daughter Leah.)

Henry Williams homesteaded land in Iowa in 1856. From notes by Millie Davies in 1961: Grandmother (Leah) died at Aunt Mary's after grandfather's death. But I cannot tell how long after. Lewis Williams, Uncle Wills' son still lives on the old place and this is 1961, 104 years after grandfather bought the place. There has never been anyone but Williams live on the old place since grandfather bought it in 1865.

Henry and Leah had ten children. Rachel, Rebecca, Thomas James, George, Abbigal, Nancy, William, Sarah, Cynthia, Lydia, and Mary.

Rachel was born July 25, 1844 and died 23 Nov 1929 and married Jim Shaw. Children were Henry, Barnard, Ralph, Ira, Perry, Wilbur, all except Perry died prior to Jan 1962.

Rebecca was born August 9, 1846, died 13 Oct 1904 and married Martin. Children were John, Clarence, Ray, Bessie (all who died prior to Jan 1962) and Jerry.
