Montie Montana

Most of you have heard of Montie Montana, the famous roper, but just where does he fit in the family tree? And what is his story anyway? Hopefully, the next few paragraphs will clear this up.

Montie Montana's was born in 1910 with the name Owen Harlan Michel (or Mickel?). His father was Edgar Owen Michel. Edgar and Lovina (Alva's mother) were brother and sister, making Edgar Alva's uncle. Montie Montana was Alva's cousin.

A simpler way to put it is this:

Lovina Jane Michel had a brother named Edgar.
Lovina grew up, married, and had Alva
Edgar grew up, married, and had Montie
Alva and Montie were first cousins.
