Thomas COMBS I b. 1740's. m.(1)about 1760, in Hunterdon Co.,N.J. to Susannah Petit b.1740's--she d. after Jan 1789; m.(2)Martha b.mid-1700's--she d. after Feb.1792. Thomas d. 1791, Hampshire Co.,W.V. Children born to Thomas and Susannah Combs: Jonas, Jonathan, Martha, David, Daniel, Francis Ignatious, Thomas, Moses, and John. [*Note *Daryl Combs does not believe Francis is the son of Thomas, however, he has not been able to prove this]
Thomas COMBS II b.1762,KY. m.in Nelson Co.,KY in 1793 to Sarah (Susan)Anderson b.1770,KY or VA. Children: Anderson (Andrew); Susanna; John; Thomas; David; Precilla; & Jonathan Pettit;~~ Thomas d. before 16 Jan 1807, Muhlenberg Co.,KY. and his wife, Susan, d.before 14 Oct 1816 in Muhlenberg Co.,KY.
Thomas Combs III, b. 1799; m. 1837 in Muhlenberg Co., KY to wife #2 Evy Whitmer b.1807 in KY. Children: Ephriam b.1838; Peter b.1840,d.1853; Albert G. b.1842; Sarah (Sally) b. 1843; Eliza Jane b.1847 d.1865; Daniel b.1850. Thomas died in Kahoka, Clark Co., MO in 1865.
(Note: Thomas Combs m.1824 in Muhlenberg Co.,KY wife #1 Sally Whitmer[older sister to Evy] b.1803,d.1834. Children of this marriage: Jacob; Catherine; Lucinda; Martin Thomas; Andrew; Matilda.*Note* Child Matilda b.1833 died on same date (11 Nov.1834) as her mother, Sally)

Children all born in Kahoka, Clark Co.,MO: Alice Catherine b. 1867; Sarah(Sally)b.1869; Mary Jane (May) b.1871; Lottie May b. 1873,d.1875; Walter Levi b.1874; Emma Virginia b.1877; Ezra d.at birth 1880; Hattie Viola b. 1882. Albert d. in San Joaquin Co., CA in 1921.
Alice Combs b. 1867 Clark Co., MO m. 1891 in Clark Co.,MO to Irving Self (Sr)b.1858 in OH; SELF Children: Albert Walter b. 1893; Dewayne Terry b. 1897; Irving Eugene (Jr) b.1900; Lucian Bartier (Jack)b.1903; Floyd Lee Ermine b.1911.[Backwards, Floyd's initials spelled "SELF"] ~~ Alice (COMBS) Self d.1950 El Dorado Co., CA.

[It should be noted Albert Combs was a tall man, well over 6 ft. tall, as shown in this photo. This height followed future generations to his grandson, Floyd Self, who was 6' 2" and then to Floyd's grandsons -- one being 6'3" and one being right at 6'.]
