The Morgan-Bryant booklet put Florence as a daughter of Arminta
and Mr. Taylor. However, Florence is age 59 in the 1920 census,
(with daughters in their thirties)
and Homer Taylor's obit calls her a step-sister. So I'm pretty
certain William Moore is her father. I think Florence was listed
as Eliza Moore in the 1870 census (the ages match). Her father
William Moore died when she was an infant (or even before she was born).
Florence's obit says she was survived by ``two half sisters
in California.''
Besides the children of Florence and James here, the Vigo County birth
index has an entry for an unnamed daughter of James C. (or just James)
Weeks born Oct. 3, 1893 (no mother's name given). But James Lex Weeks
was born April 4, 1894. Since it is only 7 months from Oct. 1893 to
April 1894, it is pretty unlikely that the Oct. 1893 baby is from this
same family.
