I have a lot more information on the descendents of Leatice that I haven't managed to do anything with yet.
The following is from the records of those descendents: John Richardson is first known in 1769 in Augusta County, Virginia. Supposedly, in 1769 he settled on the ``Great Kannawa'' (now the New River) opposite the mouth of ``Great Reed Island'' (now Big Reed Island Creek). The area became Botetourt County in 1770, Fincastle in 1772, Montgomery in 1777, and Pulaski in 1839. After being at that location 2 or 3 years, he moved just across the New River; that area was in Montgomery County until it became Wythe in 1790, Grayson in 1793, and present day Carroll County in 1842.
John Richardson died about 1787 (last Montgomery County tax record for him) and Lettice Richardson appeared on the 1788 and 1789 tax records. John left no will but an 1800 deed with his heirs as Grantors revealed that Letitia now was married to a John Powell. John and Letitia Powell supposedly moved to Pulaski County, Kentucky, around 1802 where both supposedly died.
You can view several generations of Richardson descendents on the WWW at: % http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/c/o/l/Rita-M-Collier/index.html. % (Follow her Morgan link.)
