The death date and age are from Mel's reading of the tombstone. The birth date doesn't quite match the age at death, but this birthdate is form other Gapen family records. Gapen family records also had that Stephen died Sept. 17, 1856 and Harriet on Sept. 10, 1856 (which is the reverse of what their tombstones say), Either the family got the dates crossed or the monument maker did.
