Ester played her small part in the US Revolutionary War. Shown on Order Book 8, 1784-1786,page 157, Bedford County, VA: ``Ester Morgan, acct for provisions furnished to army p. 157. Ester Morgan pvd that she furnished Chris' Irvine's Co. Two hundred and fifty (250)lbs of beef in Nov. 1781.''
There is also a book entitled, ``Women Patriots of the American Revolution,'' a biographical dictionary by Charles E. Claghorn, The Scarecrow Press, Inc., Meluchen, NJ and London, 1991, p. 394 ``Morgan, Ester, Bedford Co., VA. The wife of Thomas Morgan, she performed a public service.''
