James and his children moved to English Township, Iowa County, Iowa (near Millersburg) about 1852. That's next to Keokuk County, where his brothers Thomas and Page (and other relatives) had settled.

I am not positive that it is this James (David's son) who either married Elizabeth Dorman or who is listed in the 1850 census in Jackson Co., and I definitely don't have any proof that it is. But I am pretty sure it is him in the 1850 census, mostly because of the children's names and his proximity to the Pierson family (4 census listings away).
