Morgan family info provided the facts of Lucretia's marriage Lycurgus Morgan. Records of a Benefield descendent confirm that this same Lucretia first married a Morgan (although they had his name as King Morgan), then married William Benefield, and finally Manning Drake.

Lycurgus Morgan was still living in 1888 when Lucretia married Wm. Benefield, and Lycurgus' very short 1906 obituary doesn't mention Lucretia at all. Lucretia and Lycurgus divorced and she remarried to Benefield while Lycurgus went out to Colorado. The Morgan family records say that Lycurgus divorced both of his wives. Lycurgus' obituary does mention him burying his first wife.

The marriage of Lucretia to Manning Drake was the third marriage for both of them.

Manning had two children by his first wife Elma Gaskins: Perry (b. 1879) and Olive (b. 1881) and four children by his second wife Julia Denney: LeRoy (1885--1973), Goldie (b. 1887), Claude (b. 1892) and Lola (b. 1894);
