According to Curry family records I found on the WWW, John Curry was married three times: one child, Laura, from his 1847 marriage to Isabel Colsmear, two children, Hosea and John from a second 1853 marriage to Mary McClanahan, and one daughter, Delphia J. Curry with Eliza Nesbit.
The 1870 census entry for what I believe is this family, shows a very different family than the Curry WWW records. In the 1870 census, Eliza J., age 37 and John Curry, 58, a farmer, have two children living with them who are probably their children: Samuel, age 5, and William, age 2. Delphia is not listed. There are other people in the household, and relationships weren't explicitly stated in the 1870 census. Others in the house include Melissa Smith, 11, William Curry, age 34, farm hand, and Charles T. Hill, 19, another farm hand. The Curry WWW site cites the page 31 of the 1870 census for Delphia's name and age of 7, where the family I found was on page 97.
A Sullivan County Supplemental Marriage index has a marriage for a Floria M. Curry, female, parents John L. Curry and F. Nesbit, age 18, married 21 Aug 1883. This apparently goes with the marriage record of 2 (not 21) Aug 1883 between Flora M. Curry and Joseph E. McCroskey in Sullivan County.
