The following is from Sam Gilmore: Edward and Blanche were residents of Colorado Springs from the mid 1890's until Edward's death in 1928. Following Edward's death, Blanche moved to Long Beach, California. Besides working with the family business, Edward was a laborer and teamster. Many of his jobs were in Cripple Creek and Fairplay. In the summer of 1924, he was working in Fairplay helping build Highway 85.
