William was a son of Thomas J. Kealy and Ellen Doran.
When a young man, William moved to Iowa. He homesteaded in Antelope
county, Nebraska in 1885 and moved to Boone county from there in 1890, where he
resided until the time of his death. For many years, he was connected
with the Boone county nursery and for his last eight years, he had
been interested in organization work for the A.O.U.W. in Nebraska.
He was an active member of the society for 35 years and at the time of
his death was serving as grand foreman. His work took him away form
his home much of the time and while on a trip to St. Paul, shortly
after the holidays, he was taken ill.
