The Two Men GOD Sent to Mexico
This ministry was started in November of 1986.

Two men had a heart to go to Mexico to help

the poor and to build churches.

The Lord took them to an orphanage where an old man had 35 children who he pickedup from the city dump. This man we called Little Jose. The government booted him from his property because he preached the Lord to his children. We hauled a 45 foot trailer from Phoenix equipped with 18 bunks and mattresses for the children. We supported this orphanage until it was shut down by the government in 1996.

A Saint in the Wilderness

Sixty-five miles west of San Luis, Sister Lorain has an orphanage with fourteen children.  She has been there for over 25 years. Our group tries to help her out by sharing food, clothing and doing repairwork that is needed.

We were told about Bethel Orphanage in 1992 and the need that existed there. After visiting, we felt the Lord wanted us to spend time doing what we could to help them. Every building needed repaired, the children were very dirty, they need clothing,A Saint in the Wilderness and the food was not too plentiful. The Lord gave Brother Knell and Harold a vision for the orphanage. Part of the vision has been fulfilled, that being to have a good director who loved and cared for the children, having a place that was clean, and having food and clothing for all the children. We were involved in the building of a building that was to be a church and Bible school. The building was completed, but due to some problems that occurred, the building has not been used for its intended use. A part of our vision was to see a church preaching the word of God reaching out to the children and community, and the operation of a Bible school teaching young men and women, equipping them for God's service in Mexico.

Another part of our vision is to build a training center to teach the children skills they need to earn a living when they leave the orphanage. Caring Hearts painted all the buildings and has made necessary repairs. Caring Hearts supports the orphanage on a monthly basis, paying for staff personnel, and all of the needs of the children. Bertha, our Director, has family who also help out.
They built a 10 bed dorm for the Bible students, built a staff residence, and a building that houses our group when we go. There is a financial need, to help the orphanage, so we can add more staff. We have 46 children and only three staff persons. There is also a need for a new septic system.
Other ministries:
We built a soup kitchen out in the desert. Every Saturday morning we feed between 250 and 300 children. After feeding the children, the ladies feed them the word. Our monthly support is what keeps the soup kitchen going. Caring Hearts go to Mexico three to four times a year, taking groups to minister at the orphanage and villages. Our group has built several churches, houses for the poor, and a drug rehabilitation center. Ministry at the city dump and villages are a part of each trip. Ministry in those places consists of sharing the Word, passing out the Bibles, food, clothing, and other needed items. Ministry at the drug center is sharing the Word and other needed items. Ministry also takes place in local churches. We have an eyeglass ministry where we give out reading glasses to persons who need glasses. This is a real blessing to see the expression on their faces once they can see again to read. The newest ministry is in the prisons. We have invites from seven prisons to minister in. We have seen many come to Christ in the prisons.

Be Magnified
