Dearest Mother thou has left us and our loss we deeply feel
But tis God that has befelt us, He can at our sorrows heal
Yet again we hope to meet thee when the day of life is fled
When to heaven with joy to greet thee, where no farewell tear is shed.
Weep not that her toils are over, weep not that her race is run
God grant that we may rest as calmly when our work, like hers is done,
Til then we yield with kindness our mother to Him to keep
And rejoice in the sweet assurance He iveth his loved one sleep.
