June 1998: Notes and explanation

This page makes no sense without looking at my original postings.
Oh. You are reading the monthly summaries. In that case, it'll be a very long time finding your way back. Unless you follow me.
Oblique reference to the obscure cartoon "Rude Dog and the Dweebs" from circa 1989. The seven Dweebs - cute but very unworldly - were sheltered by the uber-cool Rude Dog from the attentions of the imbecelic dog warden and his rottweiler, Rott. Kibble, the only female Dweeb, was a significant fan of a singing poodle called Gloria, who once dined with RD.
Taken from Morris Minor and the Majors' (really comedian Tony Hawkes) 1988 hit "Stutter Rap". The line goes "He was gonna throw a bottle. He was gonna chuck a can..."
Shana Fourforms has since signed up to pitch with the Los Angeles Dodgeballs. She'll be pitching against Mike Pizza of the Atlanta Bravehearts.
A-ha! Susan Katz was the hypnotherapist in episode 2 of the radio version of "Knowing Me, Knowing You With Alan Partridge" back in 1992. She hypnotized the host and took him back to his childhood.
