Bubblers

Qualification: No top 40 entry in this or any previous month.
PosnSINGLE - actalbum
1 RED ALERT - Basement Jaxx
2 BYE BYE BABY - TQ
3 IS NOTHING SACRED / NO MATTER WHAT - Meat Loaf Greatest Hits (1998)
4 PROMISES - Cranberries Bury The Hatchet
5 MADE IT BACK - Beverley Knight Prodigal Sista
6 REAL LIFE - Bon Jovi Ed Tv ost
7 EVERYBODY'S FREE (TO WEAR SUNSCREEN) - Baz Luhrmann Something For Everyone
8 I GOT SOMETHING TO SAY - Reef Rides
9 WHAT IT'S LIKE - Everlast Whitey Ford Sings the Blues
10 ALL NIGHT LONG - Faith Evans / Puff Daddy Faith Evans

It's all change on the Breakers lists. Basement Jaxx the only act who might make the main listing next month. TQ, Bev Knight, Reef and Faith Evans show that their successes were in the past; Meat Loaf, Bon Jovi and the Cranberries have small hits - something that's happened through their careers. Baz Luhrmann makes it exclusively on a massive buzz that developed in the last week of the month, while Everlast has been hovering for much of the last quarter.

Recurrent Hits

Qualification: Entry in at least two monthly Top 40s but not this month's.
PosnSINGLE - actalbum
1 HEARTBEAT / TRAGEDY - Steps Step One / A Message To You (va)
2 EX FACTOR - Lauryn Hill The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill
3 CHANGES - 2-Pac Greatest Hits
4 ANGEL OF MINE - Monica The Boy Is Mine
5 WHAT CAN I DO - Coors Talk On Corners
6 ONE WEEK - Barenaked Ladies Stunt
7 PRAISE YOU - Fatboy Slim You've Come A Long Way, Baby
8 WHEN YOU'RE GONE - Bryan Adams and Mel C On A Day Like Today
9 PRETTY FLY (FOR A WHITE GUY) - Offspring Americana
10 MY FAVOURITE GAME - Cardigans Gran Turismo

No removing the Cardigans, nor the Offspring. Monica makes the Established Hits list without being a commercially available single, while the Coors and Fatboy owe much of their success to growing international popularity.
