Bubblers

Qualification: No top 40 entry in this or any previous month.
PosnSINGLE - actalbum
1 I WANT YOUR LOVE - Atomic Kitten
2 SUMMER OF LOVE - Lonyo
3 ABSOLUTELY (STORY OF A GIRL) - Nine Days madding crowd
4 I'LL NEVER STOP - N'Sync no strings attached
5 I NEED YOUR LOVIN' - Marc Et Claude
6 AFFIRMATION - Savage Garden affirmation
7 BACK HERE - BBMak bbmak
8 DOESN'T REALLY MATTER - Janet
9 HIGHER - Creed human clay
10 GOT YOUR MONEY - ODB / Kelis

N'Sync, Joe, and Samantha Mumba graduated from last month's list. Creed slips from 8.
Atomic Kitten had two great hooks, including the theme from The Big Country. Lonyo was dance trash, Nine Days should make the main list next month. N'Sync's track was their UK commercial single, overlooked in favour of their US smash - if the two had been combined, they'd place #9. Marc et Claude was a cover of Baby D covering the Korgi's 1980 classic "Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime." BBMak is a British young band, who should be on the verge of something really big. Janet is Janet Jackson, who we'll see again next month.

Recurrent Hits

Qualification: Entry in at least two monthly Top 40s but not this month's.
PosnSINGLE - actalbum
1 YOU SANG TO ME - Marc Anthony marc anthony
2 DESERT ROSE - Sting / Cheb Mami brand new day
3 DON'T CALL ME BABY - Madison Avenue
4 I TRY - Macy Gray on how life is
5 SAY MY NAME - Destiny's Child the writing's on the wall
6 SITTING DOWN HERE - Lene Marlin playing my game
7 DAY AND NIGHT - Billie Piper
8 SEX BOMB - Tom Jones / Mousse T reload
9 PRIVATE EMOTION - Meja / Ricky Martin ricky martin
10 SWEAR IT AGAIN - Westlife westlife

Lene Marlin again the only holdover, falling 5-6. Marc won't be out in the UK for some months - the record company is re-releasing his other one first. Pressure is growing for a second crack at Sting's track, based on its huge US success. Westlife hit #2 in May last year, and get their placing here based on their US sales success. Macy's the only other one relying mainly on overseas input.
