I'm a 32 year veteran of the Cumberland Police Department in Cumberland, MD. Presently, I am the Administration Supervisor carrying the rank of Lieutenant. Hence, the links to the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), the Chesapeake Region Law Enforcement Accreditation Alliance (CRLEAA) and the National Tactical Officers Assoc (NTOA). Seven years ago I attended the FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA. Stop by and read about the day to day thoughts from "Club Fed".
After spending so many years on the department, I felt there was something I had to do with some of the "skills" that I had learned. Not really knowing much about my surname, I was given the quest of researching the family tree by my parents. It has taken me to several places that a normal person wouldn't think of going to; the National Archives in Washington, D.C., the Pennsylvania State Library, the Illinois State Archives and several cemeteries. I have made several new friends, as well as found "lost" relatives. Yes, there are several more paths that need to be explored, but it is a great feeling "finding" new ancestors and living relatives. I also have another interest - finding old friends and acquaintancess from my old high school in Germany, Nurnberg American High School. I went there my sophomore and junior years, 1969-1970, but then came back to the States for my senior year. Presently, I spend time assisting my wife, Sarah, in decorating and painting our new home. I also enjoy spending time with my grandson.
So, there you have it. My passions,
my work, what's important. Again, thanks for taking time to drop
by. Sign the guest book and let me know what YOU think.
