Final Thoughts
It isn't for everyone and not just anyone is selected.  It has taken twelve years to finally be accepted and attend, but I'm proud to say, "I was there."

One of the main things almost all of us had to remember of the last 11 weeks was, we wanted to be there.  It was easy to loose sight of that for many people after about the 4th or 5th week.  Many having left loved ones behind to attend the FBINA.  Me?  Well, I had my time with my son when I went home on weekends.  Being single really helped.  I know there were other people that may have wished I was around more, but this was something that I had wanted for a long time.  Trying to explain this to a 10 year old is one thing, adults should understand.

I have not kept the journal as a definitive look at life for 11 weeks at the FBINA.  It was from my perspective, detailing things that I did and things I went through.  However, I'm sure there were several that went through the same emotions - good and bad.

Overall, it was an experience that I enjoyed.  There are aspects I feel the FBI could improve on, and those were so noted on the evaluations and in discussions in different classes.  The FBI did a good job at trying to make the experience as "painless" as possible, not including the physical aspect.

I could not have asked for a better roommate than the one that I had.  Mike was great and will continue to be a great friend in the years to come.  We were one of a handful of roommates that actually did things together.  Most just saw each other in the morning and at night.  We had some classes together and planned outside activities that included each other.  Being close to the area, I brought Mike to my home on a couple of occasions as well as getting him to the Atlantic Ocean, something he had never seen.  He is a great guy.

To all the other people I became friends with, it was a real pleasure.  I hope to visit many in the years to come.  In 2003, there has been talk about a reunion of the 194th, taking a cruise to the Bahamas.

I wish my classmates good health, peace and prosperity.  Enjoy life.
