Only about 6 ours sleep.
Budget Mid-term today. Study, study, study some more. Only
took about 15 minutes and I ACED IT!!!! Man that was SCHWEET!!!
Vern gave me a hard time. I HAD to do good on this after blowing
off the quiz two weeks ago. The rest of the day was a breeze.
Legal lecture at 10, Supreme Court and Race. After lunch it was time
spent on the Forensics project. Abnormal Behavior at 3PM. Extremists.
Sounded like they were talking about someone near and dear to my heart.
Double header softball this evening. Called after the third inning
of the first game - the weather didn't cooperate. Work on my projects
this evening.

Completed the Forensics
Group Project last night. Printed out and even have the Power Point
presentation completed. Need to smoth some things out and decide
who is going to present what. Day started off with Legal Issues.
Some talk about "What Now for the Prez". Yeah, nice speech last night.
Good thing majority of the US citizens weren't sitting in the same room.
He probably would have goten strung up after his "No Apology - Apology"
and his attack on the probe. Anyway, after Legal, sat through a lecture
on the FBI's VICAP and NCAVC programs. Our department got some help
on a 30 year old case from VICAP. One of our officers just made a
trip to Richland, WA to work on it. After Lunch, spent a couple hours
working on Budgetville Project. Chemical Agents class from 3-5PM.
Texas BBQ put on by some guys from, where else?, Texas for dinner.
Man, that was some good eating! Steak, Brisket, Shrimp and Chicken.
Over to Gargoyles to top it off and then more work on the budget.
Need to get it done.

What a way to start the
day off! PT! With Moochie, no less. This lady doesn't
know what the meaning of "easy" is. Challenge run tomorrow, so she
says she's going to give us an easy day. Yeah, 20 minutes or so of
warm-up exercises followed by a "short" 1 mile run. Over hills and
on pavement. Fortunately, the weather was beautiful with LOW humidity.
So, after the "short" run, it was off to Budget with some good news.
Project isn't due for 2 weeks. It WILL be done before then.
I want to get it out of the way and not have it hanging over my head.
After Lunch was a real snoozer. A guest lecturer for Abnormal Behavior.
Carl's going to hear about this one! Then Forensics. Our Project
presentation is this Friday. No sweat! Went to dinner at the
Cracker Barrel with the Grunge Boys, Jonathan, Debbie, and Barbara.
Great meal. Getting a little tired of the food here by Marriott.
No coffee tonight. Should have gone and topped the evening off with
it, though. Time in the CBTand then off to the room to work on Budgetville!
Over the hump for this week. Getting closer....and closer.... and
closer.

Stayed up a little late
last night and worked on the Budget papers. Justifications for all
those little projects that I threw in. Up around 7:15 this morning
(slept in!), went for breakfast and then back up to the room for more paperwork.
Challenge run, "The Hump", somewhere over 5 miles. Not a bad run!
Weather was beautiful and I probably had one of the best runs since I've
been here. Only walked about 1/2 mile total, and that was over one
of the bigger "Humps". Did lunch and then down to the CBT for Budget
class. Got together with the other guys and figured out who had what
and how things were going. Pretty much got things under control,
or so it seems. Next was Legal. Tonight - more Budget paperwork.
Think I need a coffee.

After doing the classroom
thing all morning, after lunch it was time for Forensics. Quick final
review (they are coming up, you know) and then the presentations for the
group projects. We were #4, but no time. Looks like Tuesday
we go first. Worked on the budget paper some more until Roomy came
in from his 3PM class. Got dressed, went to the gourmet cafeteria
for Din-Din, then waited for "The FED". Four of us, the 2 Grunge
Boys, "The FED" and myself, went to 8th & I Streets in DC. For
those of you that aren't "in the know" (This DOESN'T include you, L.T.),
8th & I is where the Marine Corps have their "Best of the Best".
Silent Drill Team, Marine Corps Band "The President's Own", Drum and Bugle
- what a performance! "Impressive" - Roomy "I give
it two thumbs up" - The FED "Like nothing I've ever seen before!"
- Me. Afterwards, the four of us checked out the local scene.
Studebaker's in Tyson's Corner and Gecko's in Woodbridge. Shoney's
for "breakfast" afterwards. Remind me that I can't do that very often.
Bed at..... we won't get into that.
