* indicates new photos
# indicates a large file, but I assure you they are worth waiting for!

Garden 1    Front Garden in full bloom spring 97, taken from the side not front on.

Garden 2    Me planting in the Front Garden with Taj and Java supervising

Garden 3    Front Garden raised up wooden structure completed and ready to fill.  Little did we know what was ahead of us

Garden 4    Taken not long after we shifted in, you see we started with bare clay soil.  I am standing where the Front Garden was eventually built, looking back at the decking and the lounge.

Canterbury Hybrid Lilies   I bought a bulb of Pink, Orange and Yellow and here they are in full bloom and the perfume is amazing.

*Corsica # - a nice asiatic lily

*Day Lily - A nice red/orange daylily

*December 97The Front Garden around Christmas time, this is the "biggest" file and will take a while, but it is a good shot

*First House#   - where I started gardening, you can see my first roses in pots in flower in the front, Friesia is there

Lots of Lilies  Summer 94 after we shifted in I had lots of lilies in pots, this is a group of them.  L-R Back row     Corsica, Sulphur Song, Honeywind. Centre - Montreax and Robert Simonet in front of that

*Java sniffing Nomocharis # - nearly won a prize with this photo (wrong class entered) but a really cool photo!

*Me and a Lily - don't know what the lily is but here I am holding it, this was taken around 93/94

*Mona Lisa - a lily I found in the Supermarket and liked. You can see why!

Muscadet    A truly beautiful oriental Lily, I paid $15 dollars for it, the most I have ever spent on a lily in NZ (I imported 3 from America for $88)

Mystery Lily    Don't know what it is but I like it.

*Nearly Nude - I never knew John took this photo until the prints arrived.  A blown up version hangs on the wall, isn't he talented!!!

*Nomocharis - a relative of the lily, and I have been told hard to grow, but not for me, 5 flowers off this plant in spring

*Orange Lilies# - 3 bulbs of the same lily in a tub and I have no idea what it is, makes a nice show though.

*Purple Trumpet Lily - I was lucky to get this, it is a seedling but I love it lots.

*Red Tigrida - Also called jockey's cap, a nice red one here.

Sorbet    A new asiatic lily, I love the colours personally

*Swahili - a very dark purple/black Iris and one of my favourites

*White Tigrida - Also called jockey's cap, only last a day but worth it

*Wisteria - I have sort of bonsaied this wisteria but every year I get more flowers from it and the fragrance is yummy
