Grandma Jessen

- Kathryn Mary Jessen (Feb. 1 1912- Aug. 16, 2000): photo, movie. We returned from Wenatchee for the funeral a couple of days ago; it's still hard to believe she's gone, her memory is so fresh. It was a very well attended ceremony, and I was pleased to see all of grandma's daughter's there. Many people stood to speak of their memories and feelings of loss at Grandma Jessen's passing. Peter, Skyler, and Wendy came too, and it was nice to see Ren and Skyler together. For my eulogy click here, and for Betty's click here.

- Grandma Jessen has been stable over the past couple of weeks, though she does seem somewhat weaker. She is still at the hospital, but will be moving out this week. We are facing some tough decisions on
where she is best suited to live.

- Grandma Jessen is doing better. She is now on the transitional care or rehab ward at the hospital, where she will likely spend the next couple of weeks trying to regain her strength.

- Grandma Jessen was admitted to the hospital yesterday. It was initially thought that she was having a heart attack, because of episodes of severe sweating and some changes on her EKG.
Fortunately, that proved not to be the case, and she is resting comfortably.
