To - Clinton Herrin
I, Richard Herren, have this day bargined and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to Clinton Herrin and his heirsforever, for the consideration of one hundred dollars, to be me paid, a tract of land in the state of Tennessee, County of Dekalb and district No. 8, containing by estimation, one hundred and thirteen acres, be the same more or less and bounded as follows. Beginning on a black gum and hickory in Ditty's north boundary line on top of the ridge, west of Mine Lick, hence one hundred and forty - six poles to a stake at the northeast corner. Hence south, one hundred and twenty - two poles to a stake at the southeast corner on Ditty's north boundary line, thence west with said line one hundred and forty - six poles to the beginning, to have the same Clinton Herrin, his heirs and assigns forever. I so further convenant and bind myself, my heirs and my represenitives to warrent and forever defend the title to said Clinton Herrin, his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims off all persons whatever, this 21st. day of September, 1849

Executed and delivered this 21st day of September, 1849, State of Tennessee, Dekalb County, appeared before me, W.G. Gobel, Clerk of Dekalb County, Richard Herrin the named barginor, with whom I am personally aquainted and who acknowledges the due execution of the written deed for the purpose therein. Contained on the date it bares my hand at office in Smithville, 1st day of October, 1849
