George sold the farm left to him byhis father, Martin Henry Buchanan and moved to Davidson Co. George died in 1893 and is buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Nashville, Davidson, Tennessee. In recent years a marker has been placed at the gravesite for his service in the Civil War.
Sarah Wright Buchanan died November 4, 1880. George took as his second wife Sarah Nash.
