Little is known of Jasper in the lines of his daughters. What we have are stories that may be jaded by personal opinions. His daughters were not a part of his life after his marriage to their mother disolved, and considered their step - father, Clarence Ledbetter, their father.
My mother says that if she had a grandfather on the Buchanan side it would have to be her great-uncle, Uncle Tine. She was raised around his family and through him kept the Buchanan side alive and connected.
My mystery for Jasper is:
What did the Esquire stand for in his name ? Was it a title or a real name ? |
