WILLIE G's LAMENT

Six and a half grand,
Not bad a price,
For such a ride in a foreign land,
But it's not nice,
To scrap it thus,
Four hundred for the parts,
That were not damaged by the bus.

Here I am with Willie G. Davidson at some biker thang in Connecticut in 1985. Actually, he did NOT lament the loss of my bike. In fact, he wasn't even aware that I had crashed. The line about the foreign land refers to the fact that I had bought this bike in Korea through the military and had it delivered through Cycle-Craft in Revere, MA, when I got stationed to the faculty at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
