Eliakim Marshall served in Capt. Jonathan Wadsworth's company, Col. Thaddeus Cook's regiment, and fought at Stillwater, where the captain was mortally wounded.

Elisha Clark was corporal under Capt. Samuel Peck, Douglas' regiment, at the battles of Long Island and White Plains. He was a pensioner when he died at the age of eighty-five.

Daniel Shedd, 1775, served under Capt. Asa Lawrence. Oliver Shedd turned out from Groton at the Lexington Alarm, and 1777 enlisted under Col. Jonathan Reed to reinforce Gates. He had brothers in the service.
Benjamin Farley and his son Ebenezer were minute men.
Elnathan Blood, 1776, served in the Ticonderoga expedition.
Jonas Blood was a minute man at Lexington.
James McMullan served on the “Confederacy” sent out “against the enemies of America.” In 1779 the frigate sailed from Philadelphia with John Jay, our first minister to Spain, and on the voyage was nearly lost in a storm. In 1781 it was captured by the enemy.
Henry Hazel, 1777, enlisted for three years as a matross. He died at the advanced age of ninety-three.
James Thompson and his son John were soldiers in the Virginia Line during the Revolution.

Benjamin Hodge, 1775, enlisted from Glastenbury in Capt. Jonathan Hale's company. In 1777 he went to sea and the vessel was soon captured. He died at Buffalo, N. Y., in 1837, at the age of eighty-four.

Abel Sherwood, 1775, enlisted as a private in Capt. Nehemiah Beardsley's company and served in the Northern Department. He died at Danbury in 1819, aged sixty-nine.

Gr.-gr.-granddaughter of Robert Wilson and Mary Hodge, his wife.
Robert Wilson, who was born in Ireland, and had served on the Heights of Abraham, commanded a company at the Lexington Alarm. He was a major at the battles of Bennington and Saratoga, and was detailed to escort prisoners to Boston.
He died at Peterborough in 1790, aged fifty-three.
William Blair was a soldier at Bunker Hill.
William White turned out at the Lexington Alarm and served in the Burgoyne campaign.

Wife of Maj. Ambrose Hodge, U. S. V. Descendant of Sergt. John Greene, of Rhode Island.
Daughter of Orrin Lewis and Martha Greene, his wife.
Granddaughter of Winter Greene and Lucretia Saunders, his wife.
Gr.-granddaughter of John Greene.
John Greene, 1777-78, was a soldier in Col. John Topham's Rhode Island regiment. He served as sergeant in the Albany county militia under Capt. Samuel Shaw and Capt. David Huster. He was born at Westerly, 1754, and died at Berlin, N. Y., 1838.
