Gr.-gr.-granddaughter of Robert Wilson and Mary Hodge, his wife.
Robert Wilson, who was born in Ireland, and had fought under Wolfe, held many offices of trust during the Revolution. He responded to the Lexington Alarm, was major at Bennington, Saratoga, and detailed to escort six hundred Hessian prisoners to Boston. He died at Peterborough, 1790, aged fifty-three.

Alexander Hodge served as a soldier under Marion and Sumter in the partisan warfare of the Carolinas. He was born in Pennsylvania, 1760, and was a pensioner when he died in Texas, 1836.

Gr.-gr.-gr.-granddaughter of Anthony Smith and Esther Hodge, his wife.
Anthony Smith (1752-1838), served four enlistments under different commands. His name is on the list of Waterbury Revolutionary soldiers, and he survived to receive a pension.

Benjamin Hodge (1753-1837), turned out from Glastonbury in Capt. Jonathan Hale's company, Col. Erastus Wolcott's regiment, that occupied Boston after the evacuation. He went to sea, 1777, in a merchant vessel which was captured by the British. He died at Buffalo, N. Y.

Jeremiah Colegrove, (1758-1837), was placed on the pension roll of Berkshire county for service as a private in the Rhode Island militia. He was born in Rhode Island and died in North Adams, Mass.
Thomas Waterman, (1731-1807), served as lieutenant in Capt. Stephen Olney's company. He was born in Warwick, R. I., and died in North Adams, Mass.

Joab Stafford, (1729-1801), commanded an independent company of volunteers from Berkshire county at the battle of Bennington. He was ordered to advance on the breast-works [p.72] and in the attack was wounded but retained the command until the conflict was over. He was placed on the list of invalid pensioners. He was born in Warwick, England, and died in Cheshire, Mass.

Moses Seymour, (1742-1826), commanded a company of militia, 1775, and served in the Light Horse in the Burgoyne campaign and Tryon's invasion. He was commissary of supplies of Litchfield Co., 1780. He was born in Hartford, Conn., and died in Litchfield, Conn.

Josiah Terrel commanded a company of militia at the New Haven Alarm. He was born in Milford, 1732.
Elisha Clark, (1758-1840), served as private and corporal. He was placed on the pension roll of New Haven county at the age of seventy-four for service in the Connecticut Continental line. He was born and died in Milford.
