Electronics Install

Installing Your Electronics

Now we get to the easy part, installing your electrics. I started by installing my steering servo, a Futaba S148. This servo is "adequate" for this application, but required some modification in order to get it to fit.

Next, I laid down two strips of velcro to mount my speed control and receiver, and threaded my antenna wire. The tube Associated provides is wonderfully large, making threading the antenna a peice of cake.

Now I bolted in my motor, mounted the pinion, and placed the cover over the slipper assembly. This completed the electrics section. It may be of interest to note that I installed deans connectors between the motor and the speed control. This allows me to swap between the modified motor and my stock motor for some novice class racing.

Also shown in this picture is my sport class battery. I also have two hand assembled stick packs made from double-strike matched batteries.
