Once the windows are done, its time to think about what kind of design you wish to paint on the body. Painted designs always look better than stickers. You could tape off geometric shapes, or racing stripes, or anything your imagination desires! We decided to tape off random lines on the hood and doors. These lines would then be filled later with alternating colors. This type of graphic looks impressive, and is very easy to paint and mask.
Once you are finished taping off all your graphic designs, wash the body again. Now is the time to bust out with a small brush and some colors. First paint the tail lights, head lights, and any marker lights. Our body did not come with any additional lights besides the tail lights. However, now is also the time to paint any simulated openings in the front of the car (like radiator openings, etc.), door handles, and windshield wipers black. I find it easiest to paint these fine areas by first outlining them with a thin brush, and then filling in the centers. Less mistakes will occur if you paint these areas this way.
