Till We Meet Again, My Love..
This is a poem that I wrote
while sitting at our breakfast table,
thinking about the wonderful mornings
we had spent together all our lives
and how much I missed
my sweet wife.
THE EMPTY CHAIR
My eyes are filled with teardrops,
My heart is wracked with pain,
My love has left me all alone,
And my days are filled with rain.
The grief I had, I never knew,
Could hurt so bad, as I think of you,
I know you are there with our precious Lord,
But my body aches, with no regard.
I see you in each thing I touch,
No more meals for us to share,
No more happy hours together,
And acoss the table, an empty chair.
Oh Lord, how much longer must I bear this pain,
Before my soul will wither away,
I love her so and I know You do too,
I want to be with her, just name the day.
I'm waiting for the sunshine,
And the rain to pass away,
So my love and I can walk through Heaven,
Hand in hand, on that bright and sunny day.
