Phillip J. and Stella May (Hunt) Young's daughter Evelyn (Young) Kraushaar's obituary - Evelyn Kraushaar, 82, died at 10:12 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 1991, at St. Anthony's Hospital in Alton. Born in Greene County Jan. 16, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Stella May (Hunt) Young. Surviving are a son Clifford G. Kraushaar of Otterville; seven granchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Elknah Mowrey of Dutzow, MO., Ada Hartwick of Carrollton, Lola Ethel of Athens and Betty Birch of Jerseyville; and three brothers, Phillip T. Young of Carrollton, Allen T. Young of Jerseyville and Harold Young of Rockbridge. A sister Dorothy Garahan preceded her in death. Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Jacoby-Schroeder Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Larry Hayes will officiate. Burial is in Kane Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God Church of Jerseyvile, where she was a member.

Evelyn (Young) Kraushaar's husband Raymond Charles Kraushaar's obituary - Final services for Raymond Charles kraushaar, 68, of 1008 Warren St., Jerseyville were held Nov. 17, 1975 at Jacoby Funeral Home with the Rev. Dorcie Hill officiating. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery. His death occured at 8:15 a.m. on Nov. 15 at the Jersey Community Hospital. A retired truck driver, he was born Nov. 22, 1906 in Fieldon, a son of Charles and Caroline (Haushalter) Kraushaar. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge. His survivors are his widow, Mrs. Mildred (Adams) Kraushaar; two sons, Clifford and Victor of Jerseyville; nine grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Lovie Westfall of Pearl and Lizzie Horn of Waverly, Iowa. His parents and one sister preceded him in death. The family designated the Heart Fund as a memorial.

Her burial was at Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville, IL. Raymond and Mildred (Adams) Kraushaar had a son Victor C. Kraushaar who is married to Janet and has 2 children-Nancy J. Kraushaar, and Vickie Kraushaar. Victor and Janet Kraushaar's daughter Nancy J. Kraushaar married Carl Wayne Clifford, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Milburn Clifford of Carrollton, IL. Carl Wayne Clifford and Nancy J. (Kraushaar) Clifford have 3 children, David Clifford, Jeremy Clifford, and Dylan Clifford. Victor and Janet Kraushaar's daughter Vickie Kraushaar married Ty Johnson of Jerseyville, IL and they have a son Tyler Johnson. Victor Kraushaar and his wife Janet live in Jerseyville, IL and he works at a steel mill in Alton, IL.

She is buried in Kane Cemetery, Greene County, IL. On January 15, 1962, she married John Garrahan at Pompano Beach, FL. He was born in 1913, and died in 1967. He is buried in Kane Cemetery, Greene County, IL.

(4) Philip J. and Stella May (Hunt) Young's daughter Ada Frances (Young) Hartwick's obituary - Ada Frances (Young) Hartwick, 95, formerly of Carrollton, died at 7:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, at the home of her daughter. Born in Jersey County June 20, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Philip J. and Stella M. (Hunt) Young. She was married to Clement K. Hartwick on April 12, 1936, in Jalappa. He died Oct. 3, 1982, after 46 years of marriage. After her marriage, she lived eight years in Kane Township, then moved to a farm on the southeast edge of Carrollton in 1944. The couple lived there until he retired and then moved to Carrollton until his death. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Carrollton and enjoyed attending church and singing hymns with the congregation.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Wayne Sibley; five grandchildren, Doug E. Hartwick, Debbie Schmidt, Dan Sibley, Molly Sibley and Maria Sibley Pembrook; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty K. Burch of New Delhi and Lola L. Ethell of Athens; and two brothers, Philip T. Young of Jerseyville and Harold K. Young of Greenfield. Her husband was previously married to Leta Jackson, who died in 1932. They had three children, Francis E. Hartwick, Doris Hartwick Weber and Virginia F. Hartwick Weber. There are several step-grandchildren from that marriage. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Paul Hartwick; a grandson, Donald Paul Hartwick; two stepgrandsons, Roger D. and David G. Weber; three sisters, Evelyn Young Kraushaar, Elknah Young Mowery and Dorothy Young Garrahan; and a brother, Allen E. Young. Visitation will be from noon until services at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, at Faith Baptist Church in Carrollton. Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery, east of Carrollton. Visitation and services were held at Jacoby Brothers funeral home in Jerseyville. Rev James Pepper officiated and burial was in Oak Grove.

Mildred B. (Adams) Kraushaar's obituary - Mildred B. Kraushaar, 83, died at 8:10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, at Jerseyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Chesterfield Oct. 1, 1925, the daughter of the late William and Mahala "Ann" (Taylor) Adams. She was raised with her siblings on a farm near Chesterfield. She married Raymond Kraushaar and they resided in Jerseyville for many years until his death on Nov. 10, 1975. She was widely known in Jerseyville, where she worked in various establishments including the Diner, American Legion and for many years worked as a sales clerk at the Discount House. She was a member of the Women of the Moose and the ladies auxiliaries at the VFW and American Legion, all in Jerseyville.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Victor and Janet Kraushaar of Jerseyville; two granddaughters and their spouses, Nancy and Carl Clifford of Carrollton and Vickie and Ty Johnson of Jerseyville; four great-grandchildren, David, Jeremy and Dylan Clifford and Tyler Johnson; a brother, Robert Adams of Hardin; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Clara Woods of Alton and Georgia and Samuel Abbott of Carrollton. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, William Burnett; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Rose Marie Adams and Hazel and William Abbott; and three brothers, William, Willis "Junior" and Harry "Bud" Adams. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Thursday until service time at 1:30 p.m. at Jacoby Brothers Funeral Home in Jerseyville with the Rev. Louis Kappler officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Adams, 58, of Jerseyville, died May 18 at his residence. He was born May 6, 1927, in Medora to the late Willis Adams and Ann Taylor. He was a laborer. Survivors include brothers Bob of Brussels and Bud of Phoenix; and sisters Clarabell Woods of Alton, Mildred Kraushaar of Jerseyville and Georgia Abbott and Hazel Abbott, both of Kane. Visitation was May 20 at Jacoby Brothers Funeral Home in Jerseyville. The funeral was May 21 at the funeral home with th Rev. Louis Kappler officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery. There is no memorial.

She married William Harrison Abbott on May 24, 1952, in Carrollton, IL. He died on April 21, 1993. William Harrison Abbott and Hazel Louise (Adams) Abbott had 5 children-Deborah Abbott, Betty "Darla" Abbott, Trudy Abbott, Gale Abbott, and Terry Abbott.

Hazel Louise (Adams) Abbott's obituary - Hazel Louise Abbott, 68, died at 10:09 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004, at the Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. Born March 6, 1936, in Chesterfield, she was the daughter of the late Willis and Mahala (Taylor) Adams. She married William Harrison Abbott on May 24, 1952, in Carrollton, and they shared nearly 41 years together before his death on April 21, 1993. A loving wife and mother, she spent the vast majority of her married life in Kane, raising their five children, and was known to be a lover of yard sales, crossword puzzles, crocheting and Pepsi. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Larry Fisher of Jerseyville, and Betty "Darla" and Everett Needs and Trudy and Tim Day, all of Kane; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gale and Jane Abbott and Terry and Ronda Abbott, all of Kane; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Adams of Hardin; and three sisters and brothers-in-law, Clara Woods of Alton, Mildred Kraushaar of Jerseyville and Georgia and Sam Connolly of Carrollton. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, William Burnett; three brothers, William, Willis "Junior" and Harry "Bud" Adams; and a sister, Rose Marie Adams. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. William Turner officiating. Burial will be at the Kane Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Greene County Health Department or to the American Heart Association.
